HENNING (CNS) - Mrs. Susanna J. "Susie'' Brown, 91, a resident of Henning for 64 years, died Wednesday (Feb. 17, 1971) at the Danville Care Nursing Home. Born Aug. 13, 1879, in Gessie, Ind., she was the daughter of John and Margaret Fox Ricketts. She was married June 30, 1900, in Danville to Frank P. Brown, who died in 1937. Mrs. Brown and her husband operated a grocery in Henning for many years. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Henning United Methodist Church, WSCS, Artesia Chapter Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine and Past Matrons Club. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Clayton (Una) Ball of Evanston; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, LeFay, in 1960, three brothers and two sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lanham Funeral Home in Potomac. The Rev. James Scott will officiate. Burial will be in Atherton Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. - jlr
