Bismarck - Mrs. Viola Allison Brown, 79, a life resident of Bismarck, died at 6 a.m. today (Aug. 25, 1967) at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She had been seriously ill four months. Born June 9, 1888 in Topeka, Kan., she was daughter of Phillip and Mary Carter Allison. She married James M. Brown Feb. 20, 1907, who preceded her in death in 1965. Mrs. Brown attended Bismarck schools. She was a member of Bismarck Church of Christ, the Ladies Circle, and the Potomac Lodge of Royal Neighbors. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Onda Isley and Mrs. Hettie Marie Conther, both of Bismarck; Mrs. Wilma Bodine of Alvin, Mrs. Ruth LaRue of Henning, and Mrs. Clarice Tundt of Hayward, Calif.; four sons, Floyd and Paul, both of Alvin; Herb of Bismarck, and Wendal Joe of Hayward; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Deck of Veedersburg, Ind. and Mrs. Minerva Ray of Rossville; two brothers, Will Allison of Salem, Ind. and Frank Allison of Danville; 28 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Bismarck Church of Christ with Kenneth Fetters officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Cemetery.
