Veedersburg - - Harven Bruner, 62, a retired truck driver, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in his home on Rt. 3, Veedersburg. He had been ill for many years before his death. A long-time Veedersburg resident, Mr. Bruner was born in Fountain County near Wallace on May 15, 1901, the son of Samuel and Mary Keller Bruner. Mr. Neal [sic] married Eleanor Philpott. He was a member of the Freedom Christian Church near Wallace. Mr. Neal [sic] was preceded in death by a daughter. Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Adkins of Kingman and Mrs. Mary Alice Shaffer of Wallace; four sons, Max and Robert, both of Newtown, Reid of Lafayette and Wayne of Youngstown, Ohio; two brothers, Ira Bruner of Waynetown and Vern Bruner of Darlington; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Wilson of Wallace, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Freedom Church near Wallace. Rev. Alfred Dobbs, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery near Wallace. Friends may call at the Sever Funeral Home in Veedersburg all day Friday.
