Veedersburg, Aug 2 - The body of J. Walker Bryant, 42, WW veteran who died Thursday morning at the veterans' hospital in Indianapolis was returned to his home in Veedersburg today. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Veedersburg United Brethren Church with Rev. Samuel James in charge. The American Legion also will give its rites. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery near Covington. Mr. Bryant died at 7 o'clock thursday morning at the veteran hospital where he had been a patient since June 1. Mr. Bryant was born near Tangier, the son of James and Elizabeth Bryant. He was married Aug 16, 1928 to Winnie Taylor. The deceased was a member of the Charles Forrest Post No 288 of the American Legion. He served 18 months overseas in France during the war. Mr. Bryant spent most of his life in the vicinity of Perrysville. Surviving in addition to the parents and wife are a son, Robert Bryant a daughter Patricit Ann Bryant; a stepson, Jackie Bryant also at home and four sisters and three brothers.
