Mrs. Lula BRYANT, 75 died suddenly Tuesday
morning, March 17, 1964 at her home in Crawfordsville. She was born March 22, 1888, in Montgomery County the daughter of Luna and Elizabeth Stover Bayless. She married Milton Bryant Dec 15, 1915 and they spent most of their married life in the vicinity of Byron. Mrs. Bryant was a member of the Freedom Church. She moved to Crawfordsville after the death of her husband in 1957. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Russell. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. lee Miles ; Mrs. Julian Baldwin’; Mrs. Bernard Rodgers; four sons: Ralph; Ronald; Milton and Bobby Lee; a step daughter, Mrs. Everett Pauline Wrightsman; 25 grandchildren and 17 greats. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Homer Robinson of Waveland; 3 ½ sisters, Mrs. Elza Bollman; Mrs. Glen Newkirk and Mrs. Jake Glascock; 3 half-brothers, Nelson Bayless; Fred and Lloyd Bayless.

Mrs. Lula Bryant, 75, died suddenly Tuesday morning in her home at 615 Milligan St. Born March 22, 1888, in Montgomery County, Mrs. Bryant was a lifelong resident of Montgomery and Fountain counties. She was the daughter of Luna and Elizabeth Stever Bayless. Mrs. Bryant married Milton Bryant Dec. 15, 1915, and they spent most of their married life in the vicinity of Byron. Mrs. Bryant was a member of the Freedom Church. Mrs. Bryant moved to Crawfordsville after her husband’s death in 1957. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Russell. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lee Miles of Amo, Mrs. Julia Baldwin of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Bernard Rodgers of Lincoln, Neb.; four sons, Ralph of South Bend, Ronald of Dallas, Texas, Milton of Crawfordsville, and Bobby Lee of Bloomingdale; a step-daughter, Mrs. Everett Wrightsman of Guion; 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Homer Robinson of Waveland; three half-sisters, Mrs. Elza Bollman of Mooresville, Mrs. Glen Newkirk of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Jake Glascock of Waveland, and three half-brothers, Nelson Bayless, Fred Bayless and Lloyd Bayless, all of Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Powers Funeral Home with Rev. John R. Servies officiating. Interment will be in Freedom Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
