Martin C. Bryant, 60, a life resident of this community, died suddenly at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at work. Mr. Bryant had been associated with Bryant & Son LP Gas here since 1948. He was a graduate of Wallace High School. Mr. Bryant was a member of Wallace Christian Church, Wallace Masonic Lodge 495, Wallace Low 12, Parke County Low 12, wallace OES 415 and Wallace Cavlistic Club. He was born in Jackson Twp, of Fountain County, Oct 9, 1907, a son of James P. and Maretta (Robins) Bryant. He was married at Springfield, ill, Jan 24, 1930 to Ruth Zackmire. Surviving are the widow; a son, charles M. of Wallace; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Keller of Waynetown and Mrs. Anna Roth of Elkhart, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro wtih Rev. John Servies and Rev. Grover DeNeal officiating. Burial in Wallace Lutheran Cemetery.

Wallace, Ind.-Martin C. Bryant, 60, died about 9:30 a.m. here Saturday. Mr. Bryant had been associated with the Bryant & Son Gas Co. in Wallace since 1948 and was active in Masonic activities. He was born Oct. 9, 1907, in Jackson Township, Fountain County, Inc., a son of James P. and Maretta Robbins Bryant. He was married to Ruth Zackmire Jan. 24, 1930, in Springfield, Ill. She survives. Mr. Bryant was a member of Wallace Masonic Lodge 495, Wallace Low 12, Parke County Low 12 and the Wallace Chapter 415, Order of Eastern Star. All are Masonic orders. Mr. Bryant also was a member of the Wallace Christian Church and the Wallace Cavalistic Club. He was a graduate of Wallace High School. Survivors include a son, Charles, Wallace; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Keller, Waynetown, and Mrs. Anna Roth, Elkhart, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crumley-William Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Inc., with the Rev. John Servies and the Rev. Grover DeNeal officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Wallace.
