COVINGTON — Jason Leigh Buchanan, 29, a resident of rural Covington, died at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 at his residence. He was born Jan. 24, 1971 in Lafayette, the son of Jerry L. and Brenda S. Hall Buchanan. He married Laura L. Million Feb. 11, 1989 in Stone Bluff, an employee of The Waters in Covington, who survives. He had lived in West Lebanon before moving to the Covington area three years ago. He was a concrete construction worker for Bill Million Construction Company in Stone Bluff for several years. He had previously worked at Wabash National in Lafayette and Fountain Foundry in Veedersburg He attended Warren County Schools. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing euchre. Survivors, besides the wife, include: two sons, Ethan L. and Clayton H. Buchanan and a daughter, Christian F. Buchanan, all at home; his mother and step father, Brenda S. and Robert "Bob" Bush, rural Williamsport; his father, Jerry L. Buchanan, Oxford; maternal grandmother, Mary Jo Hall, Attica; paternal grandmother, Mason Buchanan, Oxford; paternal grandfather, Herbert “Buck" Buchanan, Hoopeston, Ill.; three brothers, Nathan Grubb, Derrick Bush and Matt Bush, all of West Lebanon; a sister, Allison Bush, West Lebanon; two step brothers, James C. Bush, rural Williamsport and Richard E. Bush, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; three step sisters, Rhonda K. Russum, Palm Bay, Fla., Kim Summers, Covington and Shannon McCown Haslett, Percy, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harold Hall. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday in Fisher Funeral Home, Williamsport, with the Rev. Grover Williams officiating. Burial was in West Lebanon Cemetery. – jlr
