Duncan Buchanon, one of Attica's oldest business men, died a this home in that city about 8:30 Sunday evening. He had been ill for several weeks but his death came unexpectedly and was a distinct shock, as it was not known that he was seriously ill. The funeral services were held Wednesday.

Note: Name on tombstone at Riverside Cemetery (Attica) is Buchanan. Dates: October 27, 1856 (Canada) died Feb 5, 1922. Although there is no indication which of 3-4 Duncan women is his wife on findagrave.com his stone matches Sarah E. Buchanan Feb 18, 1865 - Jan 17, 1945. Yes, this is his wife -- she was called Sallie - maiden name Stewart - they were married 31 October 1888 Fountain County Bk 10 p 18. He was naturalized in 1878 and was a carriage manufacturer.
