Marcille Frances Bumpus of Lodi (RR 2, Kingman), age 60, died Wednesday morning, July 27, at her home. She was born in Jefferson County, Illinois, December 22, 1922, the daughter of Earl and Kate Manis Willis. July 21, 1941, she married Paul Bumpus, who survives. A member of New Hope Baptist Church near Mount Vernon, Illinois, she had formerly lived in Covington, Veedersburg and Rossville, Illinois, and worked as a waitress in several Covington restaurants.

Also surviving are a daughter, Sharon Clancy of Fithian, Illinois; and a son, Larry of Covington.

Funeral services were held Friday morning at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Williams L. Lehman officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – s -
