Waynetown - Ruby Bunnell, 99 of Crawfordsville died at 5:50 p.m. Monday at Ben Hur Care Center. Mrs. Bunnell was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Delta Alpha Class, a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church and Baptist Church Ladies Aid Society and a 50-plus year member of the Order of Eastern Star. She attended Hillsboro schools.
She was born on Feb 21, 1897 to Napolean and Elvira Bailey Butts at Hillsboro. She married Clifford Rider Bunnell on Oct 18, 1913. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, William L. of Crawfordsville and Emery M of West Lafayette; one daughter, Mrs. Helen L. Milligan of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home of Waynetown and Rev. Ron Raffignone and James Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Waynetown Baptist Church. - kbz
