In loving memory of Christina Charity, wife of Charles Burks, and daughter of Thomas and Phoebe Anne Gooding born September 15, 1873 died May 7, 1919.
She was a member of Phanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and living a faithful consistent life.
She leaves a loving husband, six children living, twins dead. Those living are: Herschel, Opal, Ruth, Catherine, Vera, Margaret. An aged mother, five brothers and two sisters, many friends and relatives deeply mourn her loss.
She proved herself a devoted wife, a careful and loving mother, a kind and obliging neighbor and faithful christian lady.
In her long continued illness she did not complain, but was always of a cheerful disposition, never losing sight of the duties and spiritual welfare of her children. In her death the community feels a loss and we commend all to Him who understandeth and doeth all things well -- Rev. Jacob Wike --- transcribed by kbz
