Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Ambia, Ind. - (CNS) - Mrs. Elvia M. Burns, 70, was found dead in her home in Ambia about 12:45 p.m. Sunday (June 23, 1968). The cause of death is not known. She had been ill and had been hospitalized. Her mother, Mrs. Lydia Foster, and a sister, Mrs. Margarette Nunnally, both of Boswell went to see Mrs. Burns and were unable to get into the house until a neighbor, Jack Barrett, assisted them in opening the door. Born June 23, 1898 in Fountain County, she was a daughter of Wiley and Lydia Foster. Her entire life was spent in Benton and Warren County. In 1919 she was married to Edgar Vantress who preceded her in death in 1944. In 1952 she married Charles Burns. He preceded her in death in 1964. Mrs. Burns was a member of the Ambia Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Helen G. Wartney of West Lafayette; her mother, Mrs. Lydia Foster of Boswell; two sisters, Mrs. Margarette Nunnally of Boswell and Mrs. Hazel Smith and two grandchildren. Friends may call at the Yuill Funeral Home in Boswell 7-9 p.m. today. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Boswell Cemetery.
