ROCKVILLE—Mrs. Mabel E. Burns, 57, died here at 2:25 p.m. Monday. She was a native of Clinton, born July 14, 1902, to Charley and Lottie Jackson Thomas. Mrs. Burns was a member of the Rockville Baptist Church. Surviving are the husband, Charles Burns; three daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Osborn and Mrs. Eunice Lamb of Robinson, Ill., and Mrs. Edith Houser of Terre Haute; four sons, William, Raymond and Clifford Murdock of Palestine, Ill., and Joe Murdock of Terre Haute; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Bertha McClain of Rockville; two stepsons, Clarence and Everett Burns of Rockville, and the father, Charley Thomas of Clinton. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Barnes Mortuary in Rockville, where rites are set for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. B. F. Nickless officiating and interment in the Rockville Cemetery.
