BUSER, Alice Harris Thomas - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Alice Thomas Buser, 77, of Muncie died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Winona Hospital at Indianapolis. Mrs. Buser was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church at Acton. She was born Dec. 22, 1895, at Thompkinsville, Ky., a daughter of Hiram and Sarah Emberton Harris. She married Steven Ard Buser, a former employe of the Journal-Review, May 11, 1933. He died in April of 1966. Surviving are two sons, Milburn Thomas of Acton and Paul Thomas of Muncie; three step-sons, Kenneth Buser of Crawfordsville, Aubrey Buser of Baltimore, Md., and Robert Buser of Clearwater, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Abbott of Indianapolis, Mrs. Lita Bradburn of Rockville and Mrs. Gertrude Arbuckle of Tulsa, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Kathryn Canine of Florida; a brother, Benton Harris of Danville, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Dickerson and Mrs. Ethel Pollitt of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Nora Painter of Mellott; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Thomas. Services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Hunt and Son Funeral Home here with the Rev. Archer C. Shirley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.--waw
