Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Mrs. Virginia "Jennie" Bush, 81 formerly of 708 Park Ave., Attica died Thursday Jan. 26, 1978 at Lakeview Care Center at Hope, Ind. She had been ill three years. She had been employed as a buyer for the Zeigler Department Store in Attica and had worked at the Swartz Department Store. Jennie was also a familiar figure on election day when she served so many times on the election board in the fifth precinct in Logan Township. Born July 20, 1896, in Mellott, she was the daughter of Samuel and Joanna Meeker Leath. She had resided most of her life in Attica, moving to Hope in 1974. She attended Attica High. She was married on May 22, 1917, in Champaign, Ill., to Robert L. Bush. He died May 1, 1974. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Attica where she taught a Sunday school class and played the piano. She was a past matron of the Attica Order of Eastern Star Chapter 125. Survivors include a son, Benjamin Bush of Columbus, Ind.; two sisters, Miss Eva B. Leath of Attica and Mrs. Thelma Parnell of St. Cloud, Fla., a former resident of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren, Rob Bush of Colorado, and Anne Bush at Purdue University. Funeral services at the Maus Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery at Williamsport.  --waw
