George Bushong, who has been ill for the past 4 years died at his home west of Alamo on Wednesday of last week. He was the father of Dr. Milo Bushong and brother of the late D. Bushong.

Alamo, Jan 2 - George T. Bushong, 68, died at his home 3 miles west of Alamo Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Death came after an illness of four years. The deceased was born in Metcalf County, Kentucky May 17, 1862, the son of William D. and Elizabeth White Bushong. He was married to Louisa Hopkins, who has been death for the past 27 years. He was married to Valeria Smith. The deceased moved to Indiana from Kentucky in 1886 and lived near here since. He was a member of the Alamo Christian Church and K of P Lodge at Hillsboro. The survivors are the widow, Mrs. Valeria Bushong; one son, Dr. Milo Bushong of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Omer Glover of Crawfordsville; a grandson and a granddaughter; three brothers, Dr. F.W. Bushong, of Edminton, Ky; Simeon Bushong, of Mud Lick, Ky; and Rev. J.F. Bushong of Brandon, Fla; and two sisters, Mrs. Lucretia Moore of Mud Lick and Mrs. Sarah Whitely of Summer shade, Ky. The funeral will be held at the Alamo Christian Church Friday morning at two o'clock with Rev. John Servies in charge of the services. Interment will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
