James L. Butler, 74, Fresno Route 1, died Saturday in Union Hospital, Dover, following a lengthy illness. Butler, son of the late William and Dora Davis Butler, was born in Veedersburg, Ind. He is survived by his widow, Emma L. Emig Butler. One daughter is deceased. Butler was a retired conductor. He had been with Norfolk and Western Railroad at Brewster for 40 years. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Lingler Funeral Home, Baltic. Father Bonaventure Stefan, from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fiat Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
