ATTICA, Ind. (CNS) -- Mrs. Coralie York Byers, 83, of 310 Maple, Attica, died early today (July 29, 1974) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. She had been a patient for four days. Born June 26, 1891, in Austin, Tex., she was the daughter of Willie and Minnie Ferguson York. On Feb. 5, 1910, in Albany, Ky., she was married to Bradley O. Byers, who died in 1961. Mrs. Byers had resided in Texas, Kansas and Kentucky and in the Attica area since 1941. She was a graduate of Kansas State University where she formerly had taught. She was a member of the Attica Christian Church. Survivors include three sons, Robert and William, both of Attica, and Theodore Byers of Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Bobette) McNamara of Elgin, Ill.; a half-brother and five half-sisters, 22 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. John (Marie) Niccum, and two sisters, preceded her in death. Friends will be received after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Dale Maus Funeral Home in Attica. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Attica Christian Church, with the Rev. Harry Randolph officiating. Burial will be in the Fowler Cemetery.  --waw
