West Point - Everett Byers, 64, a farmer, died in his home on Rt. 1 at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday after an illness of about a year. Born in Jackson Township, he was a life resident of the West Point area and was married to Ruth Rosen in Lafayette in 1937. Surviving with the widow are a son, Kenneth E., of Rt. 1, and three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Prather of Rt. 1, Mrs. Howard Snouwaert of Rt. 4, Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Leona Swanson of Lafayette. Byers, Everett - Friends may call at Hippensteel Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Thursday. Services in Hippensteel Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Dr. Claude Young officiating; Interment in West Point Cemetery.
