Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Quiterie Alice Cain, 93. She died Thursday in Hillcrest Nursing Home at Lafayette, where she had resided for the past seven years. Mrs. Cain and her husband operated a farm near here for many years, and she also worked as a self-employed seamstress. Born Oct. 3, 1884, at Priceville, Ky., she was a daughter of William and Burford Jaggers. She was married in 1905 to James Cain of Kentucky. He died in 1949. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Lois) Sloan of Mellott; three sisters residing in Kentucky; four grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hippensteel Funeral Home at Lafayette. Burial will be in Old Baptist Cemetery near here. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
