CALDWELL, Harvey - WWII

Harvey M. Caldwell, 66, Hillcrest Trailer Court, died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday in the Emergency Room at Culver Hospital. Mr. Caldwell was a retired Crawfordsville fireman and worked part time at the county jail.  He was an Army Veteran serving during WWII.  He attended Crawfordsville HS and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Born Jan 2, 1917 at Crawfordsville, he was a son of Harvey and Sally Toney Caldwell. His first marriage was to Eulalia Hutson. She preceded him in death on Jan 16, 1966.  He married Trillis Gardner on Oct 19, 1973. She survives.  Other survivors are two sons, Gary and Brad, both of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Amy of Lafayette; a stepson, Richard Gardner of Crawfordsville; a stepdaughter, Jeri Schumate of Crawfordsville a sister, Agnes Measel of Sarasota, Fla; four grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Revs. Robert McMillen and Joel Hutson officiating.  Interment in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with military rites. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
