Linden - Mrs. Emma B. Campbell, 74, Linden, who had resided in this community for 48 years, died Tuesday in her home. She had been in failing health for a year, but her death was unexpected. She was a member of Linden Baptist Church and Home Economics Club. Born Feb. 9, 1904, at Veedersburg, she was the daughter of Claude E. and Mattie Horning Sowers. She was married Aug. 7, 1924, at Sterling to J. Milton Campbell. He died in 1970. Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Miller and Mrs. Martha Vail of Linden and Mrs. Margie Spall of Logansport; a sister, Mrs. Mary Modesitt of Arizona; two half brothers, Tom Sowers of Lafayette and John Sowers of Marshall, and two half sisters, Claudine Yerkes of Kingman and Lois Huber of Temple, Texas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Helms & Hahn Funeral Home here with the Rev. Herschell Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Thursday.
