Veedersburg - Funeral services for James E. Campbell, 93-year-old retired Fountain County farmer, who died at his home here Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 6, were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Parham Funeral Home. The Rev. James Dyson officiated and burial was in the Osborne Prairie Cemetery, northeast of Covington. Mr. Campbell was born April 19, 1869 in Livingston County, Ill., the son of Samuel and Sarah Spinning Campbell. He had lived in Fountain County since early childhood and farmed until recent years when he moved to Veedersburg. He was married to Meda York June 6, 1906. She preceded him in death in 1959. He was the last of a family of 13 children. Mr. Campbell attended the Osborne Prairie Christian Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Jones of Remington; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews through the county.
