Mrs. Martha M. Campbell, 87, a former Newtown resident, died Saturday (Feb. 14, 1976) at Park View Hospital at Plymouth, Ind. She had been a patient two weeks. She was born Feb. 29, 1888, in Adams, Mass. She was married Jan. 2, 1909, in New Mexico to Russell Campbell of Newtown, who died Jan. 27, 1969. She had resided at Wesley Manor in Frankfort the past 12 years, moving there from Newtown. She was a teacher in the Newtown school and was a member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church. She had been active in Presbyterial work and was a state officer. Survivors include a son, the Rev. James Campbell of Plymouth, a sister, Mrs. L. M. Montieh in California, and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two adopted daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Miller and Miss Teresa Campbell. Services at the Wesley Manor Chapel in Frankfort, with burial in Newtown Cemetery.--waw
