Mrs. Mary Campbell died at her home in the north part of town Thursday afternoon at 4 after a lingering illness due to tuberculosis of the spine. The deceased was in her 72nd year and was born in Fountain County. She was married to John Campbell who preceded her in death 14 years. After his death she was again united in marriage to William Peveler from who she was divorced last spring. She was a member of the Christian Church, having united with church at Coal Springs in 1854. Mrs. Campbell is survived by two brothers and one sister William Foxworthy of this place, Dan Foxworthy of New Richmond and Mrs. Malinda Wicker of Sullivan, Illinois. The funeral services will be held from the Christian Church at this place Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock, Rev. HA Davis, the pastor will officiate. Interment in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.
