Hillsboro - Wilbur S. Campbell, 71, of Hillsboro died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette after a long illness. He was born June 15, 1889, near Stonebrook and his parents were Frank S. and Carrington Spinning Campbell (sic Frank Spinning and Carrington Vincent Campbell). On Jan 2, 1909, he married Opal Remster in Urbana, Ill. He was a resident of Founain County all his life and lived on a farm northeast of Hillsboro for the past 34 years. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. P.N. Myers of Indianapolis and Mrs. R.A. DeSutter of Attica; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hillsboro Methodist Church, Rev. Ronald Carlson will preside. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the service. Friends may call at the DeSutter Funeral Home, attica after noon on Wednesday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Hillsboro.
