Attica - Frances Pearl Carlson, 81, 104 Suzie Lane, died at 1:04 p.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. She had been ill since August. Mrs. Carlson was born here Oct, 25, 1890, the daughter of John and Lucy Hall Duncan. She was a life resident of Davis Township, moving to Attica in 1963. She married Jesse L. Carlson, Feb. 6, 1907, at Danville, Ill. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Carlson was a member of old Roberts Church and later attended Antioch Church. She was a member of Shawnee Chapter of OES at O'Dell and a 60-year member of the farm bureau. She attended Rupert School. Surviving are three sons, Clinton and Charles of Linden and Orville of Rt. 2, Attica; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Short of Attica, Mrs. Frank Otterbein of Rt. 2, Attica and Mrs. William Hoffine of Lafayette; two brothers, Clarence Duncan of Rt. 1 Attica and Grover Duncan of Rt. 2 Attica; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Carlson will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dale Maus Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Randolph officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. OES services will be conducted at 7:30 Tuesday evening. Friends may call at the funeral home between 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
