CARNES, Permelia Rardin - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Permelia Carnes, daughter of David and Jane Rardin was born in Clearmont Co, Ohio Aug 8, 1814 and died Thursday, Feb 3, 1904 at the age of 89 years 6 months and 25 days. Mrs. Carnes was married to Josia Carnes son of Josiah andPatience Carnes of Clearmont Co Ohio Oct 26, 1836. To this union was born 7 children, 3 boys and four girls, who are all left but one to mourn the loss of a dear mother, whom they hope to meet at the Pearly Gates. She was one of the early settlers, coming to this county in 1854, where she has lived a true Christian life and has made many friends, but we hope to meet her in heaven. Funeral services were held at her late home Sat. at 10 a.m. Rev. AM Tomlinson officiating. Interment at Harveysburg Cemetery.
