Hillsboro, Oct 14 - Mrs. Elizabeth Carpenter died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Gardner of Mellott Sunday night. She was advanced in years and her death was due to ailment incident of old age. She was the widow of Daniel Carpenter who was a pioneer resident of the vicinity north of here and preceded his aged companion in death a few years ago. Since his death she has made her home with her daughter. She is survived by two sons, Dannie and Monroe who resided on farms near Mellott and three daughters, Mrs. Edith Shade who recently moved to New Mexico for her health, Mrs. Blanch Ogle of near Newtown and Mrs. Mary Gardner of Mellott -- kbz
