Ernest Carpenter, 93 of 632 Mason St, died at 2 p.m. Saturday in his home. He retired in 1961, following 30 years of service with Dodge Reliance. He was born June 8, 1895 in Attica, Ind. He lived in Mishawaka since 1929 coming from Rockville, Ind. In 1914, he married Irene Martin. She died in 1972. On Oct 20, 1973 in Mishawaka, he married Margie M. Bowen. She survives with stepdaughter, Nadine Bowen of Irving, Texas; two step sons, Tony Bowen of Rockester and Eddie Bowen of South Ben; four stepgrandchildren and two step great grandchildren. He was a member of Dodge Quarter Century Club. Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
