VEEDERSBURG — Mrs. Ethel J. Carpenter, age 81, mother of Mrs. Richard Myers of Veedersburg, died at 7:10 a.m. Monday, March 30, at the Danville Care Nursing Home. She had been a patient there since March 25. Mrs. Carpenter was born March 28, 1889, at Arcadia, Ind. She was married July 6, 1907, to Nole Carpenter, who preceded her in death March 5, 1970. Mrs. Carpenter and her husband had spent the winters the past five years with Mrs. Myers. Survivors include: her daughter and one granddaughter. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, April 1, at the Hartley Funeral Home in Arcadia. Burial was in the Arcadia Cemetery.--waw
