Fithian, Ill - Funeral services for Leslie Ackley Carr, age 59, of Fithian, Ill., a former Covington resident, who died at 7:15 a.m. Friday, April 26, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 29, at the Schrader Funeral Home at Plymouth, Mich. Mr. Carr's death at Lakeview Memorial Hospital, Danville, was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage. he had been a patient one day. He was born at Charles City, Iowa, May 18, 1903, the son of Frank Leslie and Susan Parker Carr. He was married on Aug. 5, 1934 to Wilma Price, who survives. Mr. Carr was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church at Plymouth where he worked as a pipefitter. He lived in Plymouth until 1961. Since then he had lived in Colorado, Covington and near Fithian. He was employed by the University of Illinois as a pipefitter. Surviving with his wife are his mother, three daughters, Marsha Jean, at home, Mrs. Ruth Ann Barton of Bedford, Mich., and Mrs. Marilyn Utley of Anderson; a son, Richard of Wayne, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Nina Rungar of Charles City, Iowa and three grandchildren. His father, a brother and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
