Marx Ennis Carr of Remington, age 58, was found dead about noon Saturday, July 30, at his home. Death was attributed to natural causes. He was born at Sterling, September 15, 1924, the son of Troy and Mattie Groves Carr. He attended school in Veedersburg and was a member of the Attica Fraternal Order of Eagles and Moose Lodge. Carr was employed as a tree trimmer by Gilbert Tree Service.

  Survivors include seven sisters, Alice Ridge of Waynetown, Dorothy Oxley of Milford, Ohio, Judy Ann Pickett of Stone Bluff, Lucy Rahm, Mrs. Paul Hyland and Hazel Hutts, all of Attica, and Helen Pollock of Indianapolis; and two brothers, David of Attica and Leon of Remington.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Everett White officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg.
