CARTER, Charles F. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Charles F. Carter of LaPorte, age 63, died Thursday morning, October 29, in the LaPorte hospital. He was born at Danville, Illinois, February 21, 1918, the son of Frederick and Dot Carter. He first married Lorraine Hack, who preceded him in death. He later married Mildred Watson, who survives. Carter was retired from the Whirlpool Corporation at LaPorte.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Jean Cross of LaPorte and Mrs. Carolyn Rayphole of Yeddo; a sister, Mrs. Helen Hatton of Phoenix, Arizona; a brother, Roy Carter of Kingman; and eight grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday morning at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial was in Coopers Chapel Cemetery. – thanks to S
