DANVILLE, Ill. — Mary Louise Carter, 78, Danville, Ill. and formerly of Kingman, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2002 in Ben Hur Home, Crawfordsville. She was born Aug. 5, 1923 in Veedersburg, the daughter of William and Veda (Wallace) Tuggle. She married Donald Eugene Carter, Oct. 15, 1949. He preceded in death. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Danville United Church of Christ. Survivors include: a son, Stephen (Donna). Carter, Bedford; a daughter, Mary Lou (Gary) Van Huysen, Kingman; a brother, Ed Tuggle, Danville, Ill.; three sisters, Wilma Tuggle, Danville. Ill., Helen Ligocki, Westville, Ill. and Lorraine Debord, Lafayette; three grandchildren, Jennifer Carter, Julie (Joseph) Long and Lucas Carter, all of Bedford; and two great-grandchildren, Monte Long and Thorin Powell, both of Bedford. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Danville, Ill., with Bill Riegle and Kenneth Majors officiating. Burial was in Centennial Cemetery, Kingman. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Foundation. – jlr
