Covington - Robert Carwile, 43, a 10-year employe of Hyster Corp. of Danville, Ill., and a former Vermilion County (Ill.) deputy sheriff, was fatally stricken at 7:10 p.m. Friday at Paris, Ill. Mr. Carwile was a member of the Potomac, Ill., Christian Church and Potomac Lions Club and was a veteran of the Korean conflict. A resident of Covington since January, he had lived at Potomac 10 years. Formerly he had lived at Danville, Ill. He was a native of Fountain County, born in Walnut Township on May 26, 1932, to James and Ruth Shuff Carwile. Surviving are his mother; three daughters, Debra Ellen of Miami, Fla., and Patricia Ann and Melissa Kay of Potomac; a stepson, Randy Dearth, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Sandra Talbott, both of Potomac; a brother, James; a sister, Mrs. Larry (Fran) Bumpus, both of Covington; and nieces, nephews and cousins. His father is deceased. Services are at 2 p.m. Monday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here with the Rev. Fred Leonard officiating and burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
