COVINGTON – Ruth Carwile, 88, died this morning in her home on Rt. 3, Covington. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home.   -– jlr

COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) – Mrs. Ruth C. Carwile, 88, a life resident of Wabash Township in Fountain County, died earlier today (Nov. 22, 1976) at her home. She has been in failing health for some time. Born April 19, 1888, in her home in Wabash Township, she was the daughter of Manford and Emma Raab Conover. She had spent all of her life at the one residence. She was married June 22, 1911, to Stewart E. Carwile, who survives and is a patient at the Covington Manor Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, a nephew and two nieces. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Wednesday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Alfred Dobbs will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. – jlr
