CATES, Jesse David - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Jesse D. Cates, age 58, died Wed a.m., March 28, at the clinic in Covington as a result of a parlytic stroke. Born Oct 16, 1886 at Cates, he was the son of Joseph and Emmaline Barker Cates, who preceded him in death. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Fred Abernathy of Cates, 3 1/2 sisters, Mrs. E.E. Smith and Mrs. Homer Howard of Attics and Mrs. Lola Pugh of Marion, 3 1/2 brothers, EstonS starkey of Covington, Harry Starkey of Stone Bluff and Byron Starkey of Attice in the Armed Forces and his stepfather, Joseph Starkey of Kingman. Fun. serv. were held at 2 o'clock Fri. after at the UB Church in Cates with Rev. Homer Miller officiating with bur. in the Harveysburg cem. at Kingman
