Covington, Sept 16 - Robert Milton Cates, 60 resident of Cates, Indiana died at his home there Wed. morning Sept 8, 1943. Born in In June 27, 1883 the son of James and Mary Scott Cates. Surviving are the widow, Bessie; 3 daughters, Mrs Nixola Ervin of Ft 6 Danville; Mrs. Belinda Kelch of Gessie and MIss Lestina Cates at home; twin sons, Millard at home and Wilalrd int he Army at New Orlenas; 5 grandchildren 3 sisters, Mrs. Agnes Mix of Leavenworth, Ind; Mrs Lestina Cathcart of Scottsburg, Ind and Mrs. Mae Jenkins of Glendale, Calif; 4 brothers, Joseph Mack Cates, Glendale; Charles Cates of Eagle Rock, Calif; Ben Cates of Cannelton Ind; and Ottie Cates, Royal Center, Ind. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Cates UB Church with Rev. Stevens of Tefft, idn officiating. Burial in Harveysburg Cem, Shelby of Covington in charge.
