Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, for Mrs. Lavenia Cavanaugh, age 78, a life reside of State Line, who died Wednesday, April 10, at Lakeview Memorial Hospital in Danville, where she had been a patient two days. The Rev. J. Edward Quick officiated. Burial was in Upper Mound Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Brede Korsmo, Alfred Guse, Jacob Sisk, Ronnie Guse, William Evans and William Sisk. Mrs. Cavanaugh was born July 10, 1884, near State Line in Warren County, the daughter of Jacob and Welcome Ann Clem Sisk. She was married to John Lewis Cavanaugh in May of 1906. He died on March 4, 1948. Mrs. Cavanaugh was a member of the State Line Christian Church. Survivors include two sons, Charles Lloyd of State Line and Earl of Muncie, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Mollie Spooner of Detroit, Mich.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Note: According to papemortuary.com, Lavenia died 4-10-1963 and married John Louis Cavanaugh 5-1-1906.
