CEDARS, Charles

Waynetown June 27 - Funeral services for Charles Cedars, who passed away early Sunday morning at Culver Hospital wer eheld Tuesday afternoon at Christian Union Church southeast of Waynetown. The Rev. HH Elmore of Crawfordsville had charge of the services and in discourse emphasized Rest.  Mrs. Edgar Henthorne, Miss Louise Payne, Forrest Schenck and Carol Barnett sang, There Will Be No Dark Valley; Beautiful Garden of Prayer and Abide With Me, Miss Una Schenck, pianist. Flowers were carried by a niece and nephews, Mr. and Mrs. Cedars; Dwight Valentine, Billy Cedars, Ivan Cedars, Mary Cedars, Robert Cedars and Russell Cedars. Pall bearers were Jesse Mullen, Merle Fruits, Floyd Ball, James Nixon, Forrest Schenck, Clifford McClure, Gordon Elliott and Homer ELliott. Burial took place in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. The services were largely attended by old friends of the surrounding farming community. - kbz
