CHAMBERS, Nona Parish - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Wallace - Mrs. Nona Parish Chambers, 64, died Friday at 7:45 p.m. in her home at Brazil. She was born in Montgomery County to Alva and Susie Gooding Parish. She was reared by her grandmother, Mrs. Mandy Gooding, and her aunt, Mrs. Zula Gaines, near Wallace. She attended Wallace School and was graduated in 1915. She was first married to the late Gilbert Hixon of Brazil. She married Sheridan Chambers in 1928. She was a member of the United Brethren Church at Brazil and worked as a designer and seamstress in Brazil for many years. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Chambers; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Grider; two grandchildren at Wilmington, Ill., and two brothers, Terrence Parish of near Wesley and Flora Parish of Michigan. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. EST at the Lawson Funeral Home in Brazil. Burial will be at Brazil.
