Veedersburg—Mrs. Bridget Chapman, 90, a life resident of Veedersburg and the last member of a family of eight, died Friday evening at 6 o’clock at the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, where she had been a patient the past three months.    Born on a farm near here in 1858, she was the daughter of James and Ellen Calhoun Madigan.  She was married to William Chapman who preceded her in death.  Surviving relatives include two nephews, S. Mack Irwin of Veedersburg and William Madigan of Indianapolis and a niece, Mrs. Mabel McKenna of Veedersburg.

  The body has been returned to Veedersburg to the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home to remain until the funeral hour.
  Services were held Monday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Francis Meehan of Attica, officiating.  Interment was made in the St. Joseph Cemetery near Covington. – thanks to S&E
