Hillsboro Aug 14 - Funeral services for Joseph Chatt, Hillsoboro Filling Station owner, who met a tragic death in an automobile accident east of here Thursday will be conducted at the Hillsboro Christian Church Sunday afternoon. The Rev. OW McGaughey of Veedersburg will preach the funeral sermon and the burial will be made in the Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg.  The service will began at 2:30 o'clock. Mr. Chatt, a well known business man of this community, was killed instantly Thursday afternoon when his sedan struck a truck on State Road 34 a short distance east of here.  Ronald Chatt, a nephew and Mary Louella Chatt, a niece were injured. They were riding with Mr. Chatt at the time of the fatal crash.  Mary Chatt after receiving medical treatment here was able to be taken to her home in Veedersburg while Ronald, her brother, who was more seriously hurt was removed to the Culver Hospital in Crafordsville.

Note: He is actually listed on findagrave in both the Rockfield Cemetery (no birthdate or picture of stone) - there is a small stone shown for the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery and since I typed the obit from the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery obituary database for those buried there I'd say that's where Joseph is buried and not where his obit says).  Oh, and born 8 March 1876 - died 13 Aug 1931 - he is the only Chatt listed in the Waynetown Masonic

Note 2:  He was the son of James R. and Susan Chatt who ARE buried at Rockfield
