Hillsboro - Mrs. Mabel Chatt, age 72, of Hillsboro, died Sunday night, Jan. 24, at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. Roy Wilson of Crawfordsville where she had resided since fracturing an arm in a fall last July. She previously had been a patient in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill. She was born April 24, 1892, in Bonnie, Ill., the daughter of John and Sarah Ramsey. She was married in Hillsboro in August, 1910, to Thomas Chatt, who preceded her in death July 25, 1955. She was a member of the Christian Church and a 25-year member of Fern Chapter, OES. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Hillsboro. Mrs. Chatt is survived by: four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Higgins of Chatsworth, Ill., and Mrs. Mary Harmless, Mrs. Sarah Johns and Miss Lyle Chatt, all of Hillsboro; five sons, Ronald of Indianapolis, John of Hillsboro, Roderick of Granada, Calif., Lawrence of Anchorage, Alaska, and James of Fairmount, Ill. Also surviving are: one brother, Henry Ramsey of Clearwater, Fla., a former resident of Covington; three half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Allen, Mrs. Ellen Morehouse and Mrs. Ruth Beaver, all of Veedersburg; one sister, Mrs. Johnie Johns, a patient at the university in Indianapolis. ; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. The body is at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Hillsboro - Mrs. Mabel Chatt, 72, of Hillsboro died at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Roy Wilson in Crawfordsville at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. She had been staying at their home for the past few months after suffering a compound fracture of the arm in July of 1964. Mrs. Chatt was a patient in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., for several weeks immediately after the accident and had been bedfast since the time of her injury. Born April 24, 1892, at Bonnie, Ill., Mrs. Chatt was the daughter of John and Sarah Ramsey. She married Thomas Chatt in Hillsboro in August of 1910. he preceded her in death on July 25, 1955. She was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church, a 25-year member of the Fern Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and the American Legion Auxiliary of Hillsboro. Survivors include nine children, four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Higgins of Chatsworth, Ill., and Mrs. Mary Harmless, Mrs. Sara Johns and Miss Lyle Chatt, all of Hillsboro; five sons, Ronald of Indianapolis, John of Hillsboro, Roderick of Granada, Calif., Lawrence of Anchorage, Alaska and James of Fairmount, Ill.; ten grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. The Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of funeral arrangements which are pending.

Hillsboro - Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Mabel Chatt of Hillsboro at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Ross Kirk will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Chatt died Sunday in Crawfordsville at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Roy Wilson where she had been staying after suffering a compound fracture of the arm last July. Hillsboro - Rev. Ross Kirk officiated at the funeral service of Mrs. Mabel Chatt held at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Sarah Lou Fishero gave the organ music. Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the flowers were: Carter Hutchins, Archie Reynolds, Herbert Allen, Ben Townsend, Ralph York and Herbert Krug. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro.
