Wesley Clayton Cheesman of Attica, age 60, died Wednesday afternoon, October 28, in the Veterans Hospital at Indianapolis. He was born at West Point, February 23, 1921, the son of Howard and Eva Turner Cheesman. July 8, 1946, he married Phyllis Watkins, who survives. He served in the Army for 21 years and was a member of Attica VFW and American Legion. He worked as a truck driver at Harrison Steel Castings Company for 13 years.

  Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Sharon Haas of Lafayette, Mrs. Deborah Smith of Williamsport, Mrs. Thelma Snelling of Attica and Miss Hanet Cheesman of Orlando, Florida; three sons, Byron of Danville, Wesley C. Jr. of the Navy and Michael of Attica; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Hufford of Frankfort and Mrs. Beatrice Kernodle of San Bernardino, California; a brother, Willis of Columbus; and eight grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica. Military graveside rites by the VFW and burial were in West Point Cemetery. – thanks to S
