Thursday George C. Chrisman, 78 of C'ville died at 7:45 a.m. Friday Oct 8, 1999 in St. Eliz Med Center, Laf. Born Oct 26, 1920 in Hillsboro, he attended Wingate and New Richmond schools. His marriage was in Otterbein Jan 16, 1976 to Emma May. She survives. Mr. Chrisman worked at RR Donnnelly's and armed. Served in military during WWII and was member of VFW #1431, Moose, Eagles & American Legion. Also surviving are three sons, Jim Chrisman of Brownsburg, Rodney Jenkins and Terry Chrisman both of Mace; two daughters, Freida Melvin and Patricia Sarver, both of Crawfordsville; a stepson, Raymond May of Lafayette; four stepdaughters, June Johnson of Otterbein; Sandra Hands and Deanie Delany both of Green Hill and Patricia Keller of Veedersburg; a brother, Robert Chrisman of Crawfordsville; four sisters, Alice Stull, Noami Mills, Ona Baker and Emogene Friend, all of Crawfordsville; 9 grandchildren; 17 stepgrandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 29 step great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and great grandchild. Visitation was Sunday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Service there on Monday with Rev. Velma Keeling officiating. Interment in Pond Grove Cemetery, Otterbein. - donated obit
