CHRISMAN, Merl O.

Merl O. Chrisman, 75, Covington, died at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, October 16, at Lakeview Medical Center in Danville, Illinois. A resident of Covington since 1980, he had formerly resided in Parke County, Vermilion County, Illinois, Hillsboro and Veedersburg.
  He was born March 3, 1908 near Westville, Illinois, the son of Everett J. and Luna Kyger Chrisman. He was educated in Westville area schools. On September 19, 1927, he married Dorothy Boggess, who survives.

  A farmer most of his adult life, he was a member of First United Methodist Church in Covington and belonged to the Fountain County Farm Bureau.

  Other survivors include two sons, Rev. Richard A. Chrisman of Chrisman, Illinois, and Curtis L. Chrisman of Covington; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Agnes Chrisman of Clarksville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald, a brother and a sister.

  Services were conducted Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Covington with Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park. Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington were in charge of arrangements. – thanks to S
