VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) — Luther Clardy, 70, of Veedersburg Route 3, died at 11:20 a. m. Wednesday (Oct. 20, 1976) in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, after being admitted the day before. He was born April 23, 1906, in Eddyville, Ill., the son of Reuben and Marilla Stone Clardy. He married Minnie Young in Stone Bluff, Ind., on June 18, 1944, She survives. He had resided near Veedersburg for four years, having formerly lived in Stone Bluff and Warren County. He attended school in Eddyville, had been a foundry worker at Harrison Steel Casting Co., Attica, and was a farmer at one time. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Stone Bluff. Other survivors include four sons, Frankie of Veedersburg, Eugene of Smyrna, Tenn., Leslie of Hillsboro and Robert at home; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Grubb of Covington; a sister, Minnie Clardy of Veedersburg, Route 3; two brothers, Seymour of Covington and Luke of Williamsport; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at the Stone Bluff United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Wayne Hoover will officiate. The body will be taken to the church an hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Osborn Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home in Attica from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.--waw
