Williamsport - Funeral services for Mrs. Dora E. Clark, age 96, of Williamsport, who died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Crowmer-Siddens Funeral Home here. The Rev. James Nealeigh and the Rev. Carl Polstra officiated and burial was in the West Lebanon cemetery. Mrs. Clark died in Lakeview Memorial Hospital, Danville, Ill., after a two-week illness. She was born in Danville on March 29, 1868, the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Board Longstreth. Her family moved to Oakwood, Ill., when she was young and her schooling was at Oakwood and Danville Teachers Normal. She was married March 13, 1889 to Frank Lincoln Clark, Williamsport teacher and farmer and he preceded her in death in 1943. She served as secretary to the Warren County Board of Children's Guardians for 15 years. During World War I she was Warren County inspector for the American Red Cross, supervising shipment of supplies to troops. She was a member of the West Lebanon Federated Church and the Modern Martha Sunday School Class. She also was a member of the Marshfield Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Williamsport Presbyterian Church. She was a 60-year member of the West Lebanon Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, a charter member and past president of the Williamsport Woman's Club and current honorary president of the Home Demonstration Club of Warren County. Mrs. Clark was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Warren County Farm Bureau and a 40-year member of the Governor Bradford Chapter, DAR, of Danville. She is survived by: one son, Benjamin Franklin Clark of West Lebanon Rt. 1; one daughter, Mrs. Herbert A. Hunter of Williamsport Rt. 3; four grandsons, and 13 great-grandchildren.
